Up this week is Ben, a 27 year old MA knitwear designer at the Nottingham Trent University. Follow him @BENMCKERNAN to get his dreamlike photographs straight to your Instagram feed.

‘I like taking photos while walking, but its not really a conscious effort. When I observe a subject I like it’s normally a kind of joke, or a tension in composition which attracts me. I try not to be too rehearsed, but I guess there are certain themes which I am attracted to. I think all my friends think I’m plastic bag guy from American Beauty.’

Ben’s photos are beautiful observations of the extraordinary-everyday.

Seemingly accidental the compositions and colours in his photos might make us stop and look around more in our own lives for these beautiful little moments.
