Ennio Morricone Dublin Date Rescheduled

Ennio Morricone, 3Arena, Dublin, December, February, reschedule, cancelled, postponed, composer, music - HeadStuff.org

Ennio Morricone had to get back surgery, so leave him alone, he can do what he wants. He’s a lovely man. He was supposed to play in the 3Arena (The O2) (The Point) (The big place at the end of the river there) on the 12th of December, but he has to do his Christmas shopping, I’m sure you can all understand that. So now he’s going to play on Saturday 7th of February 2015 instead. And you’ll just have to manage. The ticket you have for December will work in February. This is only the case for Ennio, you can’t do that with any other December tickets you may have. As I said, Ennio can do what he likes.

Ennio was in Rome this morning, because he’s cool and that’s where cool people often are and he said all of this stuff:

“It is with great joy that I can finally say that I have truly, fully recovered. I am most grateful for the loyalty that my audiences around Europe have shown. It was with great sadness that I have had to cancel and reschedule so many concerts during the past year. I am happy to announce though that nearly all of my concerts that were planned for this December will be rescheduled into my tour dates in February and March!”

I greatly enjoy conducting my music for my dear audiences and I intend to “conduct myself” in recognition of their esteem and lasting patience”

He also said this:

“I had a lot of time on my hands lately and I have been actively preparing the program for 2015. Of course all my best-known work will be performed, but there will be a few interesting surprises too. I will disclose one of those now: besides the usual 170 musicians and singers made up by some of the finest orchestras and choirs that Europe has to offer and the extraordinary soprano Susanna Rigacci, I will be bringing my longtime friend, the great Dulce Pontes on this tour with me!”
