Tittererer’s Digest |74| The Earliest Show

Hello, It’s Alan. I know you’re all here for Ellen but I’m gonna go first this time. What a week eh? Lots of things happening. Fascist things mostly. Some Dublin DJs got very angry at me for not wanting to be on their radio show and said mean things to me on Twitter. The things were so mean that when I went back a couple of hours later they’d deleted the worst of them. Strange that. They should have stuck up for their right to free speech if you ask me. Anyway, what have I got for you. There’s Reggie Watts, Billy Eichner, UCB, More of The Earliest Show and Ellen has things for you too. Ok, see you again at the bottom.

1. The Earliest Show

Ok so, I had episode one of this in last week’s Digest but episode 2 and 3 have come out since then and my god, I love it so much. Ben Schwartz and Lauren Lapkus are funnier than everyone. EVERYONE. I will fight you. I fought a DJ, don’t think I won’t fight you. But yeah, watch this, marvel at Schwartz and Lapkus’s dance moves, just enjoy it y’know?

2. Ghost Pretenders

[arve url=”https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3XhJaF6Iq38″ align=”center” maxwidth=”550″]

Ellen and I recorded two episodes of our beloved podcast Juvenalia at the weekend. One of the episodes is about ghostly things. Here is a sketch about spooky, ghostly things from UCB.

3. Billy On The Street – Immigrant Or Real American?

[arve url=”https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E_YsbOB8nEg” align=”center” maxwidth=”550″]

International treasure Billy Eichner is back everyone! Hooray! I didn’t see him running around when I was in New York recently but some day, some day I will.

4. Reggie Watts & Conan

[arve url=”https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3sCN9WdhvN4″ align=”center” maxwidth=”550″]

This is just a silly little thing of Conan realising how much fun loop pedals are. As a failed former musician, I agree that having fun with loop pedals is both addictive and incredibly annoying to any bystanders. I once jammed with myself over a two second loop for twenty minutes. Luckily my roommates from that time were also musicians and only started throwing things at me after eighteen minutes. They’re experimental musicians with big installations in cathedrals now but do I get any thanks? No, of course not.

5. Angry Dads

This is the first tweet in a thread that left me gasping for air because I was laughing so hard. Angry Dads, the funniest thing?Anyway, that’s enough of me, here’s Ellen.

Hi, it’s Ellen again with my funny picks for the ole Digest. I’ve been a bit poorly *cough* but I’m back on the ha-ha’s train now and we’re on the way to Laffstown. (I’m so sorry, I still kind of have a temperature).

Anyhoo, the first funny thing I have chosen this week is actually an older offering, but it’s new to me so it counts right?

6. PUBLIZITY

It’s a segment of the Kroll Show called ‘Publizity’ where Nick Kroll and Jenny Slate play two women called Liz who run a PR firm together, all filmed for a reality show. It is the greatest thing I have ever seen, and I have my mortal enemy Ciara Knight to thank for the heads up. So THENK YEWWWWW, Ciara. This video is the two Lizzes discussing how to market yoghurt water.

7. You Name It

America is on fire currently but my god, the memes *chef kissing fingers*. This one is a trap remix of gospel singer Shirley Caesar singing ‘Hold My Mule’ in 1988, created just in time for Thanksgiving. It’s majestic.

Ok, that’s it from us, hope you found a thing you liked. Byeeeee.
