Tittererer’s Digest #6 (feat. Cassetteboy)

Hello, darlings. How have you been? So, Christmas is coming. Traditionally a time of great happiness and cheer. But with it often comes dreadful worrisome pressure. Have you bought all the presents you need to buy? Is the Christmas tree completely straight or leaning slightly to the left? Etc. This is where Tittererer’s Digest steps in to provide respite though. Have a peruse and you’ll soon see that life’s not an entirely depressing struggle. There’s funny stuff too. I’m your Headstuff Humour Editor (and don’t forget it), let’s get on with the Digest!

Cassetteboy are back with a follow up to their hugely successful Cassetteboy vs The Bloody Apprentice. Part two features a lot more bloodys and some fairly frank talk from Lord Sugar about his testicles. The video was released this week as an exclusive for Digital Spy. Enjoy…

Honourable mention to SNL’s Sump’n Claus.

Podcast of the Week

This week on the Harmontown podcast there was an unexpected treat. Graham Linehan was in town (LA) for talks about a US version of the IT Crowd and dropped by for a chat with Mayor Dan Harmon (creator of Community). You can download and listen to it here. But below is a bonus video representation of what transpired. Either way, enjoy! [youtube id=”bhnH-sk25K8″ align=”center” autoplay=”no”]

The peerless Black Mirror returns this week for a very exciting looking Christmas Special. If you haven’t seen Black Mirror before, it’s Charlie Brooker’s dark comic satire series about modern life and particularly our relationship with technology. There have been six episodes to date and they’re all available on 4OD. The National Anthem (in which a terrorist forces the PM to have sex with a pig on live television) is particularly good. This Christmas special stars, amongst others, Mad Men star John Hamm and all the talk is that it’s fantastic. So check it out.  Rafe Spall, Oona Chaplin and John Hamm star in Charlie Brooker's Black Mirror: White Christmas - headstuff.org

Sidesplitter presents Ten Weird, Wonderful and Recently Cut SNL Sketches. Every week the Saturday Night Live writers come up dozens and dozens and dozens of sketches. Some are dumped by Tuesday, but others make it all the way to Saturday evening’s dress rehearsal before they get cut for time. Luckily for us though they’ve recently started sharing these sketches via their YouTube channel. Sidesplitter have taken a look at some of their favourites here.

That’s it for this week’s Digest. That’s all you’re gettin. We’ll be back next Monday with a look at your festive comedy week. Have a good one.
