Tittererer’s Digest |107| feat. Boxworks Comedy

Hello once more my fellow Tittererers. This week’s digest is packed full of live comedy. This is preferable to dead comedy for a number of reasons. Mostly because those shows don’t start until after all the acts have completed their sets, returned home and lived a long life.

1. Boxworks Comedy

Former HeadStuff humour editor and all round humourous man Alan Maguire is launching a comedy night in Waterford called Boxworks Comedy. The inaugural event is next Thursday October 26th. The headline act is the amazing Conor O’Toole (recent winner of the Dublin Fringe’s Spirit of Wit award) and other acts on the night include James Moran and Ruthe Phoenix.

2. The Mess Around

More live comedy is on in the Workman’s Club tomorrow night at 8pm thanks to the Mess Around with Giles Brody and Colin Chadwick. It’s self-billed as Ireland’s stupidest comedy night brimming with sketches and stand-up from Ruth Hunter, Stephen Bradley and the always unsettling Liam Nugent.

3. Dreamgun Film Reads – Jurassic Park

Dreamgun’s latest Film Read, Jurassic Park, has been released in podcast form. The show was recorded in the Project Arts Centre as part of the Dublin Fringe. Their next live show is sold out, so maybe follow them on Facebook or Twitter or something?

Before I Go…

If you’ve missed out on the live Dreamgun experience, you can try supplement with something they made earlier. You’re halfway there.
