#4 | Edwin Sammon

In Episode Four – Alison meets comedian, Edwin Sammon. Well, they’ve actually met before. She saw him naked once. For comedy.

Edwin recently joined Republic of Telly and you might also recognise him from Bridget and Eamon. He was born to play a priest on Bridget and Eamon because, as he tells Alison, he wanted to be a priest when he was 10 years old.

Edwin tells Alison about Ming the Merciless, how he invented the rasher sausage and what it’s like to kiss Kevin McGahern. We learn that the best film ever produced in Ireland is Fatal Deviation. He even sings a song. We really worked him hard.

Alison does stand-up comedy all the time because there’s no money in it. You can see her upcoming gigs on her website, alisonspittle.com.
