Poem of the Week | Two Lines Meet by Sageanne Senneff

Two Lines Meet

By Sageanne Senneff

triangular patterns form on your hands

kaleidoscoping

under the light from the window

another tock sounds from the wall

draped in dust

sun breaks through the glass

harmonising with the thoughts on our pillows

rolling back and forth like shifting currents

with no one spot to rest

a smile lifts the dimples in your cheeks

and the stars stop in your eyes to glisten

your body plays a charming melody

and it’s too easy to listen

you hold the sun across your chest

as it opens wide to welcome me

oh, what a forgetful thing I am

you are a dangerous thing for me
