Crimeland | The Disappearance of Barbara Walsh

Barbara Walsh, a mother of seven, was last seen by one of her daughters lying on a couch in the family home in Rusheenamanagh, near Carna, in the Connemara Gaeltacht in the early hours of June 22, 1985. Barbara was 34 at the time.

Despite seemingly vanishing without a trace, it took over 25 years before Barbara’s name was officially added to the Irish Missing Persons List. What went wrong in this investigation? Who were the prime suspects? And how does a beloved mother of 7 disappear without a trace?
