Fionnuala Ní Gheannáín

Fionnuala Ní Gheannáín

Fionnuala Ní Gheannáín is a mother to three girls, a qualified psychoanalyst and law graduate. She is finally doing what she loves in retirement: writing and designing clothes. She has a small design outlet in Leitrim, opened in 2020 called Silk and Wolf Designs and Lavender Café, where she and other designers create sustainable occasion wear, handmade locally. She grew up in Leitrim and returned to live and write there last year. She finds a lot of inspiration in the landscape which is of the melancholy poetic sort: lots of grey mists, forest greens and hermitage spaces. She has a small cottage on Sliabh an Iarainn, home Of the Tuatha de Dannan. Her book Unleash Your Love, Ordinary Wisdom is available on Amazon.
