Brian studied English Literature and Ancient Classics at Maynooth University before doing Graduate research on Ancient History and Greek Literature. He has published widely and his latest publication is an edited volume on the Hellenistic Historian Diodoros Siculus. Diodoros of Sicily: Historiographical Theory and Practice in the ‘Bibliotheke’ (Leuven, 2018).

Brian is also a former editor of Classics Ireland: the annual journal of the Classical Association of Ireland.
