43. Niall McCann | Writer, Director, Documentarian

On this episode of The HeadStuff Podcast we welcome Niall McCann, writer and director of the new documentary Lost in France.

I’m joined in studio by HeadStuff Film Editor Peter Morris to chat with Niall McCann. His documentary Lost in France is wonderful, so we talk about that, but we also delve deep into subjects like supporting the arts, modern attitudes towards the dole and how important that institution is to creativity. We talk about music a lot, the struggles within that industry, which is a large theme of the documentary, we talk streaming services, of course Karl Marx and Radiohead both get a mention, as do One Direction or No Direction or Other Direction or whatever they’re called!

Niall McCann is a very interesting dude, a great talker, very opinionated and well able to get his point across. All that makes for a great chat, so I hope you enjoy it as much as we did. And if you do, please share it with your pals, give it a rating on iTunes or wherever you get your podcasts.

If you think there’s someone else we should talk to on this podcast, please drop us a line via Twitter, Facebook or to [email protected]
