Kiera O’Toole at the Courthouse Arts Centre, Wicklow

Kiera-OToole_Betwix-and-Between-2_2015-compressedBetwixt and Between
Until 17 December 2015

Betwixt and Between is an exploration of our inherited spiritual and religious past and its shaping of our systems of belief and cultural identity. O’Toole brings a renewed perspective, that of a returning migrant, to emblematic imagery found in graveyards and ancient burial sites. O’Toole asks if these publicly private places, markers of individuals, societies and cultures, act as thresholds to explore the authorship of spirituality in an age of apparent secularism in contemporary Ireland.
