Tittererer’s Digest #39 (feat. Jesse Eisenberg)
Hello, look at you there with your big expectant face on you. You saw Jesse Eisenberg’s name in the title and you clicked, hoping to see more of lovely, nervous, Hollywood star Jesse Eisenberg. Well, this isn’t some cheap, gallery for looky-loos; it’s a digest for tittererers, and as such we do things a little differently here. So there are no more pictures of Jesse Eisenberg. There’s a New Yorker piece by him. It’s very funny but maybe you need to be a tittererer to really get it. Sure look, join me under the picture of the sad woman and I’ll show it to you.
1. Jesse Eisenberg
So here you go then. As well as being a very famous person who is good at acting and seeming generally sound, Jesse Eisenberg is a very funny writer. I’ve enjoyed his McSweeney’s bits in the past and now here is in the New Yorker with an excerpt from his new book, Bream Gives Me Hiccups. 2. Man Dances To Becker Theme Song For One Hour Straight
The rest of this week’s digest is all videos, it happens like that sometimes, don’t fret. The first one is from Canadian improv troupe The Sunday Service and is about a man dancing to the theme song from Ted Danson footnote Becker while slowly losing his mind and family. He has some great moves. Moves you’ll want to copy. Moves that make you go “Damn, that theme song from Becker was danceable as it was short”. (via The AV Club)

DUMB Video is an “experimental sketch comedy group based in New York City”and they have made this video which you’ll enjoy.

4. The Quiet Chef
Coincidentally, Rekha Shankar, The Quiet Chef, is a member of DUMB Video. This is a solo run from her though. It’s difficult and absurd and hilarious.

5. HOW WAS YOUR DAY?
Full Disclosure: I lived with Alan Power of HOW WAS YOUR DAY? for two years when we were in college. He was funny then and he’s funny now so it’s not really favouritism if you squint and spin around really fast. Anyway, in HOW WAS YOUR DAY?, Alan Power and Mark Tehnsuko play Eddie and Graham, two men who travel to and from work in the same car. It’s a weekly show and it’s very funny.
